Places to visit :-
1. Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary - Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is the most important tourist spots in Dandeli. It has various and different flora and unique species of fauna. You come across some rare mammals in this wildlife sanctuary and some of them are sloth bears, black panther, barking deer, the Indian pangolin , the Malabar giant squirrel, rare black panther and many others.It offers you over approx 200 species of birds.These wildlife safaris and bird watching are a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all the nature lover's.
Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is located exactly at 3 kilometres distance from Dandeli and is believed to be on 8 minutes drive via J.N.road and 9 minutes drive via Barchi Road and Haliyal - Dandeli Road .To be exactly sure, it is on the SH46 route.
2. Kavala Caves - Kavala Caves is another exciting tourist destination in the region of Dandeli.These caves are said to be existed since the pre-historic era. There is also a temple down below the cave which has approximately a thousand steps to reach .The cave has a naturally formed Shiva linga which is said to be in the shape of a rudraksha. This place is perfect for those who love trekking and exploring.
Kavala Caves is around 26 kilometres from Dandeli. If you come via Ambikanagar then it is 7 kilometres away. A government vehicle, usually jeep drops the tourists and then they have to trek all the way to the caves. If you come via Dandeli then it is located in Lalguli and you take the route via Kulgi road.
3. Syntheri Rock - This place is a must for all the tourists who visit Dandeli.One must have to trek all the way to see this monolith granite rock which is 300 mts in height. It is located on the banks of river Kalindi in Gund. Kalindi is a small river which then merges into Kali river .
Adventures activities can be seen all around the place. You will also witness a beautiful waterfall near this destination. This place is perfect for all nature lover's .
The destination is approximately 31 Kilometres away from Dandeli.
4. Anshi National Park - Anshi National Park is one of the amazing places to visit near Dandeli and is well known for its Tiger reserve. It is also called Kali Tiger Reserve since the River Kali passes through the reserve. It is a very highly protected area and is spread over 1300 sq kilometers. It is an evergreen tropical rainforest. You can enjoy watching many animals from Indian elephant's to Bengal Tigers to the Black Panthers . Accomodation is also provided here and is perfect for those who love nature and trekking .
It is approximately 37.5 kilometres away from Dandeli .
The spot is located in Kodthalli and you may take the route via SH46 and follow Ramnagara-Karwar road .
5. Moulangi Eco Park - This place is perfect for all the tourists who visit Dandeli . It is surrounded by evergreen rainforest and is full of adventure like trekking , rock climbing , rafting and many more .
It is best to visit this place with your family. You plan a short trip just to Moulangi Eco Park with your family and spend time enjoying with nature and many adventures activities .
Best time to visit : October to March .
Distance from Dandeli Bus Stand : 6.8 kilometres and takes approximately 16 minutes to go there via Moulangi Road.
